Poetry: “Stained glass”

Another thing about life and memories…

Stained glass

Preserving memories
In stained glass beauty
A temple for the soul
Where I come to worship
When life is fraught with woe
And daily toils become
Too hard to face alone
An escape to times of joy
Bittersweet reminders
That life is better
Than this
The murk and misery
That too often assail me
For that I have my shrine
My holiest of holy
Surrounding me with beauty
That I’ve had in my life
A bringer of purpose
To fill up empty spaces
With new memorial motifs
New experiences
New moments
Preserved in my mind
In stained glass beauty
