Poetry Snowball: Take 1

When I took a writing class one of my professors informed me of this loose gathering of people who used constrained writing techniques: Oulipo.

We wrote some haiku in class as an example of having some restraint when writing, but I looked up some other constraints used by the movement online and felt intrigued by the snowball, where each line is one word, but each successive word is one letter longer. I did my own twist, where the first line is one word, but then I add one word for each new line. It’s not a proper snowball according to Oulipo, but I rather like the format I ended up with.

This is my first attempt.
