6th and final part.
Today mugginess has descended across the valley and I can no longer see the ocean. As if someone wishes for me to be slowly weaned off the lovely weather we had yesterday and this morning. As if the place is slowly saying goodbye.
Either way it leaves me with time to sit and muse on this week.
I have done some philosophizing on plant life of late. Well, there is not much else to do when you spend the bulk of the day on a sunbed contemplating whatever falls into your head.
There will always be love in my heart for zoos and botanical gardens, for that display of what nature has to offer, preferably in such a way that feels natural and good to all that is on display for you to see and enjoy.

Our family is a little crazy. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean la la, dancing in the tulips naked kind of crazy. I mean legit mental problems that have developed over many years kind of crazy.
Part 2 of my travel writings.
Never tire of the sight of the sea from the window. The foamy white tops of the waves, driven towards shore by the gusting wind.
It feels wrong somehow to label the writing I produced during my trip as a plain blog post, for it is not written as I would normally write a diary entry, but I shall still call it blog, though it has some essayistic and poetic elements to it, here and there. From today and for another couple of days I hope you will enjoy my writings, this is part one.
I traveled to Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands last month and it resulted in plenty of creative stuff, starting with poems for today and tomorrow.
Some days you feel uninspired and blank. Then you dig into yourself and find a memory and that sets off a whole chain of events and then you look up and realize you’ve been writing for almost an hour and have a decent inspirational story going.
Unfortunately I experienced a computer crash that ate a small chunk of text and killed my inner fire, but then I sat down again after a bath and finished the story! (I’m sorry for rambling today.)
