Poetry: “Little lights”

All the candles, burning in the cemeteries and churchyards tonight…

Little lights

Oh, how they shine
All the little lights
Each stone
Each path
Become a mirror
Of the stars above
Silently they flicker
Shining in the dark
Lights of love
And longing
Of grief
Yet accepted loss
Lights of remembrance
That though they’re gone
Their footsteps still echo
And they’re not forgot
