Poetry: “Stonewall”

Well, it’s been 50 years and I got inspired listening to a documentary about it, especially about the almost legendary transwomen from those early days.

A fitting poem to post on the last day of Pride Month.

Love me
Like I was your brother
Your sister
No matter what
Stand beside me
And support me
Who I am
All I am
Fight with me
When the world breaks down
My door
My face
My heart

Be my champion
And I will be yours
We will be stronger
We will be warriors
But first
You must love me
Like a brother
Like a Sister
Like family in all but blood
That loves through thick and thin
