Poetry: “Seasons”

A seasonal, free form poem!

I find delight
In seasons’ turn
Each flavor sweet
And true
How winter’s chill
Of peppermint
So fresh and cool
Gives way with time
To gentle winds
Of spring
That sing of birdsong
And babbling brooks
Flush with icy melt
And then the summer
Spreads her cloak
Of gorgeous blooms
Each color of the rainbow
But autumn dares
To do as well
With burning leaves
And gentle smell of wood smoke
Dead leaves rustle
As I walk
