Poetry: “New hope”

And here we are again, at the end of the year.

May you find some hope, to carry with you into the future.

New hope

Hope
Doth spring eternal
Inside the human breast
Even when
In darker times
When cause for joy
Is hard to find

I see it there
In words from friends
Reminding me of good
In singing birds
And sun’s pale light
Across
A wintry world

Go forth
And find your hope
So frail, and small and new
As old year ends
And new year dawns
With days
Yet full of promise
