Poetry: “End of summer”

It ties into the poem from yesterday.

End of summer

It comes on
So slowly
In the morning
First of all
With chill there
That nibbles
At your very skin

The sunshine
Grows weaker
Every day
And every night
Soon mornings
Are dawning
With an early hint of frost

The wind that
Once soothed
Your sweaty
Sun soaked skin
Now lingers
And tears at
The clothing that you wear

Come jackets
And long pants
Put away the skirts
And shorts
Turn you head from
The sunlight
See the trees
Burst out in flame
