Poetry: “Jasmine”

A favorite type of plant, a favorite scent.

***~***~***~***

Jasmine

By evening breeze
Thine scent stands out
It lulls the senses
All worn out

It lingers there
All through the day
A weary soul
Might linger there

Such tiny blooms
Small dots of white
Those humble blossoms
Are a gift

And even when
Thine blooms are spent
That scent preserved
In cups of tea
