Poetry: “Heat”

Yep, it summer.

***~***~***~***

Heat

I shalt not complain
About the heat
That blisters me
If I go out
The blasting sun
It is a boon
Even when it
Kills off all plants
No drop of rain
For many weeks
How glad to see
The world dry up
In winter’s chill
And frigid grasp
Then I’ll think fondly
Of this heat
