Poetry: “Christmas cheer”

A kind of, bah humbug, type of poem, sorry. 😛

Christmas cheer

Save me
From empty Christmas cheer
Greetings said
Out of habit
False politeness
While we ignore
The beggars on the street
Donate to the phony saints
Shutting out those
That doesn’t fit the mold
Dance around
The Christmas tree
As they dance
Around the issues
This holiday
Hijacked by
Capitalism’s holy knights
And those who forgot
That love is meant for all
