Poetry: “Fall escape”

Light-hearted holiday fare.

Fall escape

Bathe in pumpkins
Piled up high
And spider webs
Before your eyes

Of horror films
There is no end
And costume parties

Where ghouls and ghost
Are welcome sights
And candy bowls
Filled to the brim

A fine excuse
To have some fun
All things renamed
With spooky sounds

A holiday
That still feels new
So new that we
Forget the date
