Poetry: “Ode to public transport”

Relevant to yesterday’s poem.

Ode to public transport

Woe to you,
Auto commuters
Stuck in cars
For miles and miles
Sitting still
In rumbling traffic
Spewing filth
Into the air
Why carry on
When public transport
Has been made
A better choice
So reducing
All emissions
Even buses
Are more clean
And though crowded
On occasion
Still more efficient
Way to go
And unlike drivers
Who must focus
Here you can
Both read and sleep
Or even watching
Some fun movie
(Please use headphones
If you do)
So join in this
Green revolution
Public transport
Is the way
