Poetry: “On my own prejudices”

Confession time, of sorts.

On my own prejudices

Few are the people
Free from any
I do not count
Myself among
Those precious numbers
In our world

I place my judgements
On behavior
Every fool is judged the same
The idiots I see
I paint
With brushes
I reserve for them

In that way I do aspire
To remain
Forever equal
In the ways I judge the world
No matter what your skin,
Religion, Orientation
Or your gender
All the fools are judged the same
