Poetry: “Fragments”

To the memories we forget.

Sliced apart
In tiny fragments
Ribbons dancing
On the wind
Drifting slowly
Ancient memories
Flickers here
And then they’re gone
Years divided
Into instants
Falling slowly
From your hands
Ages lived
Deduced to constructs
Castles built
From finest sand
Try to catch them
Fleeting fragments
Times not worth
To sear in deep
