Poetry: “My anxiety”

Mental health and me.

My anxiety

It live in my chest
Makes a comfy nest
Nestled under my ribs
Cuddling up to my heart

Sometimes it may nap
Have a peaceful sleep
Letting me forget
That it’s still right there

It cares not to leave
Why, it likes it so
Curled up where it is
Keeping me up at night

With time I adjust
To its presence there
Heck, it’s almost a friend
My anxiety
