Poetry: “Ice cream”

Another silly little food related thing…

Ice cream

To pick
Such a trivial topic
Yet still not merely
Loaded with nuts
And fruit
All manner of things
But with meaning
Dietitians argue
When to have it
Should you have it
This treat
Filled with tasty
Utterly banned
For those
Lactose intolerant
Such a cruel twist of fate
To be thus deprived
Then arguments
Which is truly better
The common ice cream
Or Italian gelato
The latter has
Unique qualities
More bang
For your buck
Yet must you really
Pick just one
When you can have both
Doubling possibilities
Just treat yourself
Diets be damned
This inventor should be praised
