Poetry: “On home towns”

Musings on finding home.

On home towns

To know every street
Like the back of your hand
Every corner
A comforting sight

You know where to find them
The nature escapes
Bird song and hedgehogs
And hares leap at night

The shops and the cafes
They all serve you well
Intimate, cozy
Deliciousness found

Home’s where the heart is
And that’s how you know
Where heart beats with longing
That is your home
