Poetry: “Spoons”

A mental health related poem again.

Don’t rob me off
All of my spoons
They need to last
The whole day through

For all the things
I have to do
My precious spoons
They don’t last long

When evening comes
And work is done
I need some left
To have some fun

I try to ration
Best I can
But certain days
It’s far too hard

A daily quandary
That I face
I count the spoons
Lest they run out
