Poetry: “Fragmentation”

A little poem about memories and times.

My head is full
Of fragmentation
Memories diluted
Through a sieve
Cracked moments
Lay like shards
On the ground
Reflecting instances
Pieces of time
Minutes here and there

One short scene
Bursts into life
Like a flare
Then quickly goes out
Hanging from a thread
Faces of people
Washed out
Like watercolors
In the rain
Erosion from disuse

For all my efforts
To keep my memories
Intact through time
I know if futile
For the forces of nature
Are stronger
Than my mind
