Poetry: “Character quirks”

Something a little self indulgent again.

Character quirks

I am the sort
Who begs attention
Of all the cats
That cross my path
Who squints at trees
To catch a sight
Of the birds
Among the leaves
Who feels the need
To wander down
My shoes thrown off
Into the surf
The one that touches
Oh, so gently
All the fabrics
When clothes shopping
Who curls up into
Comfy corners
When I find
A coffee shop
The one who saunters
Stares at buildings
Finding details
No one sees
