Starting to set in now…

Winter blues

Endless days
Stretching out
With no relief
In sight
Hopes for spring
Naught but
Wasted breath
With weeks
Of icy frost
And frozen fingers
Await us still
While the bleak sun
Struggles to rise
Still overpowered
By northern winds
Holding firm
With hold hands
Counting days
On our prison walls
Until chill winter
Leaves these lands
