A Merry Christmas to the rest of the world, have a playful little thing to read in between the celebrations. 🙂


Christmas stocking

Never before has a garment
Been lauded for its size
The bigger it is the better
For then it will fit more stuff!

Imagine those poor old German kids
Leaving socks out to be filled
They only had their little things
Prob’ly even filled with holes

But with time we made them larger
There’s no foot that big, I’m sure!
But appearances aren’t vital here
For this once, huge is ideal

Now it’s all ingrained in culture
Though their origins are vague
But to kids awake on Christmas morn
That’s not what they care about
