Poetry: “On the Christmas tree”

What it says on the label. 😛

On the Christmas tree

Some holiday trends
They quickly grow stale
But there can’t be Christmas
Without my own tree

So give me a spruce
Or resilient fir
To place in my home
And dress it up nice

With garlands and glitter
And small twinkling lights
That bring so much comfort
And jolly good cheer

It brings a sweet scent
Of the outdoors
But then fall the needles…
Perhaps plastic will do
