Poetry: “November rains”

A moody bit of poetry for today, very Sunday in November.

November rains

November rains are falling
Falling on my soul
Soaking deep inside my bones
Tendrils made of ice

They are a heavy burden
To carry day by day
Dreaming of a morning
That’s not all filled with clouds

A wetness that seems constant
That seems to melt the world
Turning sharper contours
Into a runny muck

The rains will keep on falling
I know it must be so
So now I dream of winter
Rain replaced by gleaming snow
