Poetry: “Pillow fort”

This is my sort of…version of “Want to build a snowman?”, or at least a piece in the same sort of vein as that.

Pillow fort

Come build a pillow fort
With me
Softest walls
And downy roof
Of a house
That you’ve ever seen
Fill with blankets
Snuggle up
In comfort
And safety
Nothing but pillow walls
To keep us in
Surprisingly efficient
At least it is assured
We will be warm and snug
Who says only children
Can have such luxuries?
