Poetry: “Pink cheeks”

Some random little thing about this time of year, and appearances.

Pink cheeks

Pink cheeks
Pinched by wind
Teasing color
Into a pale face
Rosy blush
Enhance a face
Sign of health
And the outdoors
Fresh and strong

But any color
In a pale face
Is a delight
Nothing shameful
To display emotions
For the world to see
Better than
To remain impassive
As stolid as a wall
