Poetry: “Cinnamon roll”

Okay, it’s a bit related to technology again, but more playful and silly.

Cinnamon roll

Licking sugar
Off my fingers
Taste of cinnamon
And cardamom
Fluffy dough
Breaking apart
At a touch
Sprinkling of sugar
Cardamom chunks
Between my teeth
Is all I think
When I hear the word
Yet social media suggests
It means something else
So I turn to google
Then close the application
I let out a sigh
“Ah, those kids today.”
And feel so old
