Poetry: “Precipitation depression”

More personal poetry.

Precipitation depression

I am useless
When the skies are grey
When rain hangs heavy
Water dripping off the trees
My strength washed out
Pouring out of myself
Leaving puddles where I walk
Dragging myself
Into useless motion
I might rally on occasion
Braving weather
The rain pouring from the sky
Feeling all of myself
Dribbling to the ground
Becoming one with the grass
There is a small comfort there
That knowledge
That some part of myself
Can be taken up by nature
As sustenance
A small price to pay
