Poetry: “Winter memory”

Allow me to take a walk down memory lane; a chilly one, in contrast with the summer weather.

Winter memory

Bitter frosty morning
Grass sparkling in the sun
Sturdy patio set
Now dreams of summer warmth

Fluffy pile of blankets
Soft pillows, bedding too
Cradled on the furniture
A cozy winter nest

Snuggled up inside them
Just face that’s poking out
Biting chill and cozy warmth
That contrast, so divine

What way to spend a morning
A winter weekend day
Rejoicing in a bedding nest
While the frost bites on your nose
