Acrostic poem: “Disappointment”

Another acrostic poem, one I am fairly happy with.

Dazed and dented
Isolated chill yet spreading
Seething slowly
Aching in the hollow of your heart
Parted lips yet holding
Picking at the words
Of what could have been
If things had been different
Not this cold reality
Taking yet another breath
Measuring out what remains
Echoing sadly
Nurtured only by that tiny ember
Thoughts that this is not the end
