Poetry: “An ode to parks”

What the title says, a subject close to my heart.

An ode to parks

Greenery enriches
Enriches our souls
Tapping into who we are
Where we all came from
Man evolved in nature
In forests and in fields
Even thousand years ago
Mankind needed air
For pollution man has wrought
Wrought upon ourselves
There can be but one cure
Nature’s bosom green
Parks are called a city’s lungs
For it’s there we breathe
As much as we need home and food
We need our greenery
