Poetry: “People watching”

One of my favorite past times when I am out in public.

People watching

Coming, going
Twos and threes
Some are solitary ones
Chatting, talking
Clutching phones
With their friends
Making choices
Calling out
Turned towards
In intimacy
Huddled in a bubble
Of their own creation
Grouped together
Discussing loudly
Having debates
Shared with all
Watch those gestures
Meant for those
In their closest company
Mankind is an animal
With behavior that’s a treat
To watch when they don’t see
