Poetry: “Sound waves”

A poem with a little bit more emotional bite to it.

***~***~***~***

Sound waves

Noise that cuts right through me
Like tiny shards of glass
Crisscrossing inside my brain
Electric purple light

No earplugs can resist it
Vibrations in my bones
Makes my body shudder
In time with my own walls

Blessed is the silence
That absence of all noise
When I can hear my thoughts again
And the rhythm of my soul
