Acrostic poem: “Silvester”

In several European countries “Silvester” (various spellings exist) is the name for New Years Eve, so I used that term for  this poem. 🙂

Happy new year!

Silver lined the year doth end
Illuminated is the sky
Light and sparkles, fireworks
Verily chaos occurs
Every glass is raised on high
Shooting corks that hits someone
Tales are shared of what you’ve done
Each recalls the year now spent
Resolutions are thus made
