Poetry: “Winter morning”

Might not get too many more of these in the future, if the climate keeps changing on us.

Winter morning

Fragile as an egg shell
It dawns so frosty white
Crackling ice and crunching snow
You step so gingerly

To step outside is magic
The white hangs in the air
Branches hung so laden
With fluffy piles of snow

A leaping hare or prancing deer
They are all that you see
For winter’s chill have chased off men
That huddle in their homes
