Poetry: “Silence”

A short, but sweet reflective thing.

***~***~***~***

Silence

I drink the silence with a straw
I suck it deep inside
I let it spread inside my soul
And soothe the troubles there

I wrap the silence like a scarf
I cover myself up
I feel that comfort all around
And slowly settle down

I feel the silence all around
In this room that once was loud
The absence of all noise is bliss
To a frazzled, stressed out mind
