Poetry: “Misty morning”

Observational inspired poetry. Well, partially. (As far as I know, elves aren’t real.)

Misty morning

Elves are dancing
In the field
Autumn leaves
Worn in their hair

Frosty grass
Warmed up by feet
Come here from
Another world

Men stand gaping
Quite entranced
By that danger
By that sight

Sunlight slowly
Warms the air
Sends the dancers
Packing home

Grass thus trampled
Dewy gleams
And safely mankind
Walks these fields
