Poetry: “Archipelago”

I think an alternate title for this could be “Memories of summer”. It has that feel to it.

Red wooden houses
Lining the shore
Boats that are rocking
Where they are moored

Glittering surface
Of waves darkly blue
Sunshine that’s warming
The old wooden dock

Sea fowl lay bobbing
On the blue sea
Even when boats pass
Making waves form

Above, the vast heavens
Stretches so blue
With clouds and some seagulls
Breaking it up

Wind gently rustles
The reeds by the cliffs
And softly caresses
Your browning bare skin
