Poetry: “Epitaph”

Nothing morbid, just musing about the future and the legacy of some special poets and writers.

***~***~***~***

Epitaph

I live life to the fullest

But for the end

I wish but this

To have a headstone

Or a slab

With a nice old epitaph

As great as the Lord Byron

As long as Worldworth has

As fine as T.S Elliot

As poignant as the Brontës

As sad as poor old Keats has

As dreamy as Lewis Carol

As sweet as JRR Tolkien

As pretty as Emily Dickinson
