Poetry: “Vincent van Gogh”

Another poem inspired by a certain artist. How do you pronounce his name correctly again?

Vincent van Gogh

Starry nights reflecting down

Cafe lights and tender blooms

Ripened fields so golden warm

Crooked rooms and worn out shoes

Brush strokes drawing patterns

Eyes that look at you

Gaze that betrays trouble

That’s brews beneath the skin

Gloomy houses, gloomy rooms

Houses breathe melancholy

Fields that seem to waver

Sunflowers on display

Tiny strokes that make one whole

Colors patterns quite unique

His own face repeated back

Other men doth appear too
