Poetry: “David Hockney”

A bit of a challenge, to put words to the feelings born when I look at art. This might become a series of sorts.

David Hockney

Golden wheat

And fields so green

Burning reds

And icy blues

Landscapes stretching

Bending curves

And hedgerow angles

Forests barren

And alive

Houses empty

Yet occupied

Couples standing

Yet apart

Shadows stretching

Out for miles

Physics altered

Just a tad

Lets the eye

See what it may

Cotton candy

Are the clouds

And flowers

From some other world
