Poetry: “Perfection”

Perhaps something that need to be repeated…

We’re told to chase perfection

In everything we do

To be the best and screw the rest

And win at all we can

To have a perfect family

To have the perfect job

To go on perfect holidays

And have the perfect feasts

But perfection’s an illusion

It’s definition a mirage

As liquid as the ocean

That can flow right through your hands

So chase what you most want to

Not for some grand ideal

There’s one good goal for you to have

To be as happy as you can be
