Poetry: “Wild roses”

Subject tells it all, really.

Wild roses

Wild roses are winding

Winding round the trees

Not around some castle

From some old fairy tale

Reaching branches full of thorns

Up towards the sky

Letting fragrant blossoms

Get the most sunlight

Branches make a shelter

For tiny birds and beasts

Hiding place from predators

And others that cause harm

Wild roses are growing

Growing ever strong

As they have for untold years

And will for years to come
