Poetry: “Forest abode”

More nature poetry.

Forest abode

Raise above my head up high

A canopy of green

Precious leaves so handsome

So delicate and new

Make a roof so stunning

Of branches stretching out

Not quite yet so waterproof

But just give the leaves some time

Rest below that stunning frame

Or greenery so bright

With wind that rocks you to your rest

Accompanied by the birds

On my bed of fresh green grass

I feel perfectly safe

Wrapped up in arboreal arms

In the arms of mother earth
