Poetry: “Tea”

Another favorite drink of mine, deserves its turn in the spotlight.

***~***~***~***

Tea

Fragrant leaves so gently picked

Placed inside a pot

Or cup

To bathe in steaming water

To infuse it with its taste

This is not a rush job

Neither making

Or to drink

When finally your pour it out

Let the flavors fill your mouth

There are so many flavors

There are so many kinds

And brands

Liken it to drinking wine

Be all fancy or relaxed

How can so many in the world

Be wrong about this drink

On tea

A lovely way to start the day

Or accompanying a book
