Poetry: “Sakura”

I visited a local cherry blossom festival today, so this is appropriate poetry. (For those that do not know, “sakura” is japanese for ornamental cherry trees and their blossoms.)

Pale pink clouds

On bare dark branches

Pale pink clouds

Float above the grass

Pale pink petals

Floating to the ground

Pale pink petals

Shaken by the wind

Pale pink blossoms

Falling from the branch

Pale pink blossoms

The transience of life
