Poetry: “Spring storms”

A fact of life, they are…With spring come the spring storms.

Spring storms

Spring storms are a pain

After weeks of sunlight suddenly so cold and frosty, chilly rain that drip, drip, drips, harsh winds sneaking inside all your layered clothing, slushy snow that crushes gentle spring blooms bravely stretching up towards a sun that hides away from the world.

Spring storms are a cinch

Clouds that gather, rain that drizzles, snow that never sticks for long, winds that tremble, chilly weather, pinching at your nose, hard to face, but all defeated by the knowledge that

It never lasts for long
