Poetry: “Trees of life”

I will let this one speak for itself.

Trees of life

Might I be an apple tree

With moss growing on its trunk

And all their branches fat and bent

All twisted here and there

Though it took time to grow large

And to reach t’wards the sky

Now it blossoms every spring

And it bears the sweetest fruit

Or might I be a twisted pine

That grows right next to shore

Where cold sea winds keep howling

Near every other day

Though it might appear gnarled and sad

That pine has such mighty roots

Despite the harsh conditions

It still managed to grow tall
