Poetry: “Taste the sunlight”

I continue the food-ish theme for today.

Taste the sunlight

Drink the golden sunlight

Let it dribble down your throat

Let its warmth descend far down

Far down inside your gut

Let it spill and let it fall

While you drink the whole lot down

Winter sunlight is so rare

You must let none go to waste

To taste the golden sunlight

Let that warmth fill you with strength

Enough strength that can last you

Until spring is finally here
